Criterion Publication

Criterion Publication is a grassroots project that I undertook from June 2012 to June 2013. It is a publication " focusing on the philosophy of what making Art and being an Artist in the grandest sense is about". As Editor in Chief and founder of the publication, I sought for Creatives both in Australia and abroad. The same question was posed to all.  What does being creative mean to them and to the people they care about?

I made the publication in my own living room using string, a photo copier and my own computer and then distributed them for free at my favourite bookshops, creative spaces and institutions. 

I was interested in contributors from all Disciplines be it Writing, Music, Art and Film. The publication came out monthly and was distributed at 6 reputable Arts organizations in Melbourne. In August 2013, I was asked to give a presentation at Melbourne University to the Creative Writing faculty about the realities of publishing in Australia. I was also accompanied by the fellow editors of Meanjin, Going Down Swinging and Axon.
